Why Choose Us?

From our exclusively 5* reviews on Google to long standing clients who return time and again, you are assured of a high quality service with RB Energy & Sustainability Services. Unlike larger firms where you may have to wait days to get a response on your project queries, or deal with ever changing employees who are not familiar with you and your job, you will always deal with the same assessor and get fast and informed answers to your questions - which can be imperitive on fast changing construction sites.

Affilated Partners

Air Testing is a requirement under Part L of the Building Regulations for new builds. We are pleased to work in partnership with Built Environment Testing Solutions to offer this service for when you are close to completion on your projects.

They conduct pre-test inspections and offer site advice throughout the construction stage, including detailed illustrated reports.

Sample testing can be done using non-toxic smoke to identify major leakage areas before committing to your final air permeability test.

Uncontrolled air leakage through the fabric of the building results in increased heating demand. It is said that unchecked air leakage through gaps and cracks in the construction can cause up to 40% heat loss.

Air permeability testing is a mandatory requirement for new buildings under Part L of the Building Regulations and is a prerequisite for producing SAP and SBEM calculations.

Additional Modelling Services

We are able to offer the following in affiliation with RAAM Modelling

Thermal comfort modelling – Building performance modelling is used to determine heating and cooling equipment sizing for suitable operation. Ventilation studies demonstrate compliance with a range of thermal comfort guidelines including TM52, TM59 (Part O), BB101 and pollutant concentration.

Daylight and Overshadowing - Internal daylight distribution is calculated to assess glazing specifications, lighting configurations and support Breeam submissions. Overshadowing is modelled to support planning applications for high-rise developments or developments in crowded areas.

Modelling for non-domestic construction (SBEM calculations)
